Join Don’s Photo on Thursday, May 28 for a Pride History Photo Walk through downtown Winnipeg and the Exchange District with local cultural historian Britt Bauer.
This free guided walking tour will explore several important locations throughout the city that have served as gathering places and safe spaces for sexually and gender diverse communities at various points in Winnipeg’s history.
Britt Bauer is a queer and neurodivergent classics/anthropology PhD student with a special interest in historical queer relationships and meeting places. Through storytelling, historical insight, and local knowledge, Britt will guide attendees through a thoughtful and community-focused evening exploring Winnipeg from a different perspective.
Whether you’re interested in photography, local history, or simply looking to connect with others in the community, this event offers a meaningful way to experience the city while documenting it through your own lens.
This is a free event, however capacity is limited to 40 attendees and a free Eventbrite ticket is required to participate.
