We’ve got some exciting news to share: Photo Central and Don’s Photo are now becoming one!

Since 1975, Photo Central has been a cornerstone of Winnipeg’s photography community. From its beginnings with Dick Toews, through Andrew’s leadership, and all the way to today, Photo Central has been a trusted home for photographers - a place where service, expertise, and passion for the craft always came first.

At Don’s Photo, we’ve always believed in those same values. For decades, our paths have run alongside each other - two locally owned photo stores with the same mission: helping photographers, creators, and families capture and preserve life’s best moments.

Now, instead of being two separate stores, we’re coming together as one. Photo Central is joining the Don’s Photo family, and we couldn’t be prouder to carry that legacy forward.

What does this mean for you?

  • You’ll still see the same familiar Photo Central faces you know and trust.
  • You’ll still get the same level of service and expertise that’s defined Photo Central for nearly 50 years.
  • And now, as part of Don’s Photo, you’ll have access to even more gear, printing options, and support — all under one roof.

This isn’t just a change in name — it’s about combining two histories, two teams, and two communities into one. We’re here to continue the legacy that Photo Central built, while also shaping the future of photography in Winnipeg together.

Here’s to a new chapter: Photo Central, now part of Don’s Photo.
